ok... i am lost. using #301 doesn't seem to be what i think is. i ran two new dial tone lines from the phone co's blocks over to my blocks, attached a rj-11 clip on the end and plugged into my module on the phone system. i checked for dial-tone first, success. now, using #301 i don't see where i can pull those 2 new dial tones into this phone and add them as an outside line. am i completely doing this wrong? the manual isn't real specific on adding a new dial-tone line to the pool of lines i have now.

#301 is to assign or unassigned lines per station, if you want to add the new lines to all the phones and system use #104 and it will add the new line to the next available line keys you have set up now.

What exactly are you wanting to do, put the new lines on only one phone or all of them?

dtmf, i can't thank you enough for helping me out here. i just want to add the 2 new lines to the existing 4 lines i have already pooled together. everywhere i look it says DO NOT use #104 after initial setup as it wipes out all settings. so now i am really confused...

Don't know if you got it resolved, but using #104 will assign the lines to ALL extensions, with Immediate ring on ALL line at ALL extensions. IF that's what you want, go ahead and use it.

Otherwise, it's #301, Extension Number, Line Number, and 1 to assign it to the next available button, with immediate ring.

Do this for each extension and each line, then go back and set the ringing for the new lines to match the existing lines.

follow tommyies instruction above for #301

Use only #301 you will need to add your lines to each extension.

You are correct not to use #104 and thats why there is a caution after initial set up
