My client has what appears to be a BIS-34D that has an extra 20-button DSS attached to the right side. They are both mounted side-by-side and held together to look like one piece unit. The 20-button DSS(?) attaches to the BIS-34D(?)underneath by a ribbon connector. I have not been able to see a picture of this phone/console amywhere on the internet. Someone wanted to sell them a Definity Console but that didn't seem right. Can anyone help me with this. Larry

Try doing a search using 3162-ATD---I think that was the console. The 3162 had several types-- had 3162-417(also, maybe 412) plus BIS & DIS plus this 3162-ATD. All worked on the 1030/3070 system. I'm certainly not an expert, but I wouldn't think a Definity console would work on a 1030/3070...and that's probably what you've got...right?? Good Luck

Hello Everyone, I'm new to this site and wanted to say hi. Also, I just became the proud new owner (right) of a Merlin communications system 510. After doing some research on it, because I've never heard of it and not many others have either, I found that it's time (I think) was around the end of the 80's. I'm looking for some admin and user manuals and found that it's either 1030 or 3070 that I need to get. I've found them online but people are charging around $50.00 for them. Does anyone happen to know where I could get them for free or by chance a little less? This was a system left behind and I'm trying to figure out if it's a system worth still using or if I should just cut bait and buy something new. The customer is trying to invest as little money as she can so it became my job to figure out if this is worth it or not. Any help or information is greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

I think you'd have better luck opening up a new topic rather than attaching your question to a topic this old. Just click "Post New Topic" top right of the page. Most all Avays manuals can be had on their WEB site. Welcome to the board.
