If this post looks familiar its b/c I posted this last month and still haven't come up with an answer of why the Caller ID is working only some of the time. See below for details. Hope someone can help.

I upgraded a Legend System with a Magix brain 4.0 and replaced existing line cards with 412TDL Mod & 408MLX-ID Mod. The caller ID sometimes works but not all the time. The dial tone provider (Snip) is brining dial tone in over T1 and breaking it out as POTS lines. What could I be overlooking?

I replaced the 4.0 processor and check all the ports in the 412TDL Mod and 408GS/LS ID MOD but still no success.

I also put a Bell Atlantic Caller ID box (like the one in your house)on each line and it worked everytime. The provider said they tested there end and everything is working ok?

I also noticed I too have a problem with caller ID in my house. I have a Polycom Soundpoint Pro phone that I use in my home office and I only get Caller ID some of the time. I call from my cell phone and sometimes it shows up and sometimes it doesn't. I have Verizon service in my house.

My customer and I recide out of South Jersey.

Do they answer before the caller ID is sent on the 2nd ring? Did you program the caller-ID delay? Have you put the home ID box on the line at the same time as the Magix and make test calls?

Yes I tried all those things. The funy thing is my CID in my house (Polycom SoundPiont display phone) is having the same problem. I did reach out to a couple of teachs and one of them is having a problem with their CID in Magix switch too and he doesn't know why this is happening.
