We're trying to set up CDR collection for one of our sites. It's a G3 SI v7. We're using a 8400 data module with a pollable storage unit. Everything is connected correctly and looks to be setup correctly in the switch but the system will not initiate a call to the data module. The port shows in service/idle. Is it possible the cdr buffer in the switch is full? Is there a way to check/clear the buffer? I tested the equipment at my site before connecting it there and all worked fine with the switch connecting to the data module and sending call records as soon as I connected it. Any thoughts?? Thanks.

what CDR error type # you have? Is the System CDR primary output set to the data-mod extension?

Sys CDR is set to the data mod ext with Output Format=unformatted (I also tried teleseer). Stat CDR shows link status=down. Disp errors only show 1 CDR error: PRI-CDR 257 99 06/02/16:41 06/03/10:14 255 14 97 a y 257=error type.

The switchs CDR buffer will overflow and replace the oldest record. The error indicates you have a connection problem. Replace the polling unit with a PC running hyperterm with the same connection settings. Check that the reords are being received from the datamodule. The Definity datamod should be set to "connected to DTE". Program the datamodule with this string: AT&FS0S24=1&W0&W1&V<enter>
