Hi All, Sorry if I'm not very literate - I have only recently been introduced to Telecom. Here's our scenario: New Merlin Magix, 412 100DCD & 016 ETR's.

Our current extension mapping is 3 digit begining with 100 (not assigned, our DID's begin at 150 and range to 169. 167, 168 & 169 are not being used. We have approximately 50 extensions in use.

I am attempting to renumber LID 51 (on a 016ETR which starts at LID 45) to 167 and have DID 167 ring in to that new ext.

Problem, LID 51 is mapped to x7100 and what seems to be 350.
x167 is mapped to LID 68 & 367 but there are no physical cards with that ID in the system Ours stops at LID 60 (x7109 & 359)

When I do a print of the dial plan & adj I see: (cliped from 49 to 52 to keep the space down)
ID #: 49 140 348
ID #: 50 141 349
ID #: 51 7100 350
ID #: 52 7101 351.. THis goes on to ID 60 sequentially to 7109 359

ID #: 68 167 367 etc...

My question is first, How do I renumber 7100 to 167 when there is a ghost 167?

Second how di I steer inbound DID 167 to the new extension?

Thanks in advance for just reading this! I hope it makes sense.

J..

If 167 is a ghost station -- what is it being used for?? When you dial 167, who or what answer the call. Your did number has to match you ext. number -- so if 167 is being used now; you will not be able to use that did number unless you can renumber ghost 167 to a new number.

That was it.. Odd set up over here. The installer had a large group of numbers assigned to LID's that didn't physically exist! We found the group in question and was able to renumer the 7100's to what we needed! Now all seems to work as designed! Thanks for the tip.
