My customer has a Partner II and You can hear conversations taking place between lines 1,2,and 3. Problem does not exist @ Demarc, and if you turn down the handset volume to just less than half it goes away. Seems to be on all extensions. thought I'd see if you guys had any Ideas before I start swapping cards. Thanks in advance.

Check the program #304 (Automatic Extension Privacy) being that it is an old switch they may have lost power and gone back to default which is non - privacy
Also be aware that on a switch that old when you start swapping cards sometimes it won't come up and work anymore.

Nahh, Automatic Extension Privacy just doesn't allow any another extension to pick up a line that is in use.
Have you checked the wiring between the CO ports on the system and the demarc? How many lines do you have? Are they on 206 mods or a 400?

Had that same problem last week....It was one of the 206 modules; in our case the second one but appartently it doesn't matter which one has failed. The bad one connects to the same bus so it affects all lines and stations. You will need to pull the 206 modules one at a time until the problem clears. If you are lucky, it will only be one module.
Ahh, Partners. They always end up turning brown and failing and we replace them left and right. Hopefully, you'll only need to replace a module or two which is relatively inexpensive.
------------------ Ed --------- How come there's always enough time to go back and fix it a second time?

ev is more than likely right. More than likely it is a bad 206 card. But that 206 has more than likely been in service more than 10-15 years. It's about time it gives it up. Just please ev don't get up on the soap box on this one!
