I have Partner Plus 4.1, 5 slot carrier.

slot 1 206 4.1 (ports 18-23)
slot 2 206 e 3.1 (ports 24-29)
slot 3 proc. 4.1 (ports 10-17)
slot 4 400 e 3.1 (ports 30-35)
slot 5 EMPTY

I have some Partner experience, mostly features etc. moves/adds/del. Most my experience is Magix/Definity.

In any case this processor has no card so how do I do a system back up before I start?

I really just need help in knowing and getting the ports into group 7 (777?) For the above config would it be ports 36 and 37? or ports 40 and 41? do you count from the top or bottom?

Where is a reputable place to buy a unit? should I only get one labeled refurbished? and what does refurbished mean exactly?

If I run into problems and just need a lil help via the phone who do you recommend? with out paying 200.00 for 5 min help getting the VM port into the group etc.

thanks

rich

Don't confuse the "ports" that you'd find on the ACS card with the Processor on the Plus. They are two different animals altogether. Also...no PCMCIA card, no back-up. It couldn't be simpler. You may have to go into the console and do the "old-fashioned stare-and-compare" method...God, the backup feature is easy.

And, on all Partner system, you count from top-to-bottom.

If you have questions, call me at 1-800-716-9199, x126.

Good Luck

jm

Buy what you posted as your system cards:

You can't have a Partner Plus if you have 8 ports on the proccessor, it is an ACS

I don't see a VM unit, if you are going to place it in slot 5 then your ports would be 40-41 for a 2port and 38-39-40-41 for a 4port VS mail as you count from the bottom not top for the mail unit and on the newer Messaging units you count from the top.
You can't backup your current system with what I see. Most any tech or moderator from this section can walk you through the programming and you can download a manual from Avaya.com, we offer tech support for a very reasonable price.
As far as getting equipment it's all over the place but be sure they will stand behind it as we do.

All my info is in my profile.

Well your ports are :
1-10-15
2-16-21
3-proc IS THIS A 3X8 OR JUST A PROCESSOR
4-22-27
4-28-33

your post would be correct if there was a
acs processor.

You didnt address the mail ,
is it a vs inskin/or messaging inskin /freestanding external

A vs mail would be ports 32-33 as 2 portmail
or 30-31-32-33 as a 4 port
a messaging mail would start @ the top

An external mail would use ports on a 206 card

The manual for the mail has the programming for the partner as well as the mail.

Its simple programming ,put you definity head away follow the book and if you have
a problem post.

You have an e-mail from a dependable supplier.

yep, its a Partner II, NOT an ACS, my bad.

So the ports will be on a VS mail would be ports 32-33 as 2 port mail

I am trying to find a reasonable priced card to upgrade it to 4 ports. (30 thru 33)

This partner Mail VS r4.1 can that do submenus? So if someone hit selector key 2 it goes to another AA, then gives other options?

If not can I make a hunt group? ring simultaneously or in round robin?

thanks.
