ok, but hunt groups and calling groups have numbers like 1 thru 7.

and AA can only transfer to an ext.

so how do i tell the VM to transfer to hunt group 1 or calling grp 1.

it will only trans to extensions....

Calling groups would be ext 71 for calling group 1, 72 for calling group 2, 73 for calling group 3 and 74 for calling group 4.

Same way for hunt groups 771 hunt 1 and so forth.
Only thing on hunt groups hunt 7 is vm and hunt 8 is fax.

Then to transfer off of the AA to these, you would go into the vm admin box and set up, like selector code 3 for sales would be to transfer to ext say 72, then it would transfer to calling group 2.

Sounds like the calling groups would work best for your app.

got it thanks alot. i want to use the hunt grp.

so hunt grp one is 771.

i can tell the AA to transfer to 771? though it had to be a 2 digit ext.

I see how ext 71 would work for calling grp 1.

but hunt group 1? 771?

thanks for all ur help guys.

Yes the 3 digit number for hunt will work as ext number off of the AA or behind a selector code.

But like I said before if want to have mail pick up un anwered calls you would be better off to use calling groups.

And keep in mind you will need an extra ext port and line port on the control unit to have the mail to pick up.
