Hey guys,

I lost a deal against an IP office
that seems way too low to be for real.

I am an acs partner so I have access to pricing from my dealer but haven't (and probably won't) do the IP office. So I am not 100% on how you would configure this, but this is what the customer wanted.

They have a PRI
20 stations with phones ( I don't know which model exactly but at least 18 button)
voicemail with UM, call queu, program and install. They said they signed a contract for $14K. Am I way off or does that sound way to low? This is just to satisfy my own curiousity since they went with htis deal. The customer would't tell me who the vendor was, but I have suspect that I know and they're notorious for gray market stuff around here.

We are the same as you and don't do IP Office either. I don't think it is out there yet but who knows.

If you look Avaya is really pushing IP Office and offering special pricing and 0% financing. 14K does seem a bit low but even LEC's like Verizon are selling them- for less than our cost as a dealer.

14k and 20 stations is about $700 per station, they are right in the neigborhood for a competitive bid.

Competitive bid against what? If it's another IP I think its low. Against "traditional" it's competitive but they are going to lose money. IP can't be competitive with traditional.

Nev-Comm (Las Vegas, NV) is an Avaya Partner, Magix and IP Office Dealer.
THe IP office if more exspensive than a traditional Key system.
If you need any support, parts or pricing for the IP Office or any other Avaya products, give me a call.

We have a large established customer base of many Avaya Partners, Magixs and IP Offices.

small ip office comes with a "no frills" voice mail application. i think ip office can do everything on your list. if some venders think there will be associated opportunities, they may make a system offer even at a loss. ip office with twenty stations can be inexpensive. small ip office has a system station limit (28 stations i think). the default voice mail is limited in applications, but it may meet this customer's need.

Just an update.

Looks like IP Office is on the gray market now. Just got this today- https://www.a1teletronics.com/a1promo/images/avaya_phones.jpg

Really sad because I'm an Avaya dealer and Avaya won't even sell it to me unless I am certified.
