2 different ways to do that.
If your are not real comfortable with going into programing and doing it you can simply switch the cables in the ports of the switch or patch panel.

Does IP Office on an Avaya 412 require a reboot to switch extensions? I just started at a new company, and they reboot their switch every night that there is an extension change (2-3 times per week). I am not a voice tech, but I am plowing my way through the Avaya IP Office 3.1 manual as we speak.

I think you should just have to do a merg config.

I just hit that part of the manual, and that appears to be what Avaya says as well. Is a merge config disruptive to service for the other users on the switch? How long do merge configs usually take? In other words, can a merge config be executed in the middle of a workday and not cause any disruption of service to anyone? We have about 120 users currently, FWIW.
