Yes when you click the save button or icon, just select merg config and it will not disrupt any calls in progress.
Now it proably will those exts you are dealing with at the time.

How about if you need to keep the extension associated with the user, but physically move the user into a new office? Doesn't that require you to change the extension so it matches the new extension ID in the new office? If true, any changes on the Extension tab require a reboot (apparently).

Then, if I am understanding you correctly, just switch the cables on the front of the IP Office or the patch panel.

Oh, so there's no way to change it within the config. I didn't know that was the standard way of moving extensions with the user. Makes sense. Now If I can talk my boss into changing our practices, I'll be in business (for some reason they want all of the ports/cables/switch ports labeled, and refuse to move them).

You can change it in the programing, but it would be easier to do it on the patch or switch.
