A new customer has a Partner system installed, but the VM was never hooked up. The VM is a Merlin Mail. I have the VM up and everything seems to be working except the auto attendant. Customer wants AA to answer only in night mode. When the system is placed in night mode the VM answers, but the AA greeting doesn't play. I get a system prompt that forwards me straight to the operator. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Purchase a PARTNER mail instead of a Merlin Mail -- the mode codes are different, and there is no way to change the phones system to match the voice mail or change the voice mail to match the phone system.

Sorry.....

Are you sure it's not Partner Mail (cabinet looks about the same). I can't imagine it functioning at all unless it is Partner Mail. Then you have to assign the lines in the voice mail that you want that auto attendant to answer.

It will function on a limited basis as the calls get delivered to the voice mail system but it needs to use codes to integrate with the Partner System to light VM lights etc. The Merlin Mail won't recognize the Partner codes.

I think I gave you some bad information. I believe the ksu is a merlin legend, not a partner, according to the manuals the property has. The cabinet looks like a partner to me.

My suggestion would be to tell the customer you are not sure if it a partner or a legend and you don't know how to hook it up. And either sub it to someone, or have them call someone else.
