Has anyone ever overcome the problem where the remote party can hear the conversation on an barge in on Partner system? I know Avaya says the remote party may hear but was hoping via resistors or something I could eleiminate this as this system is in psyc. office and there is confidientiality issues yet this barge in is important to them

Not that I'm aware of just yet.

If it were as simple as "resistors or something" don't you think Avaya would have done it long ago?
The answer to your question is as low tech as you can get. Instead of the receptionist barging in and telling the doc that "Mrs Bates is after her phone installer husband with the meat cleaver again" all she should say is "I have an urgent message for you". The doc can then put his conversation on hold and talk to the receptionist directly via the intercom. Make sense?
