I have a Definity with version 11 software and Clan card set to 192.168.10.9. What is the correct procedure to telnet to the unit? I had found instructions on the internet referencing port 5111 but when I telnet to this address it says that the login is invalid.
Is there anything I need to do in the Definity to allow telnet access?

I discovered that we had a copy of the Avaya Site Administration CD and telnet client. However I am still having problems with the invalid login. What do I have to enable or change in our Definity unit to make this work?

5111 is not a standard. Any port can be used.
Run the command "disp ip-serv" You should see a line stating with "SAT". Then it should be enabled, the node name, then the port (write that down), remote node=any, remote port=0.
Then log in via ASA using IP address 192.168.109 and the port from above.
