I posted this same question a couple weeks ago but it was closed for going off topic. Here is some updated information. I made some changes becuase of some suggestions in my last post.

My system:
IP406 Version 2.1(27) Upgraded to 3.1(48) last weekend
ANALOGUE ATM16 Version 4.1(27)Upgraded to 5.1(48) last weekend
ANALOG POTS16+ Version 4.1(27)Upgraded to 5.1(48) last weekend
3 DIG DCPx30 Version 4.1(27)Upgraded to 5.1(48) last weekend
Manager 4.1 Upgraded to 5.1(48) last weekend
Voicemail Pro 2.1 Upgraded to 3.1(16) last weekend
Delta Server 4.0.36

I run everything on a Windows XP Pro box dedicated to IP Office. I run the Voicemail Pro Service.

Symptoms:
I have noticed I cannot retrieve my voicemail. At the same time any incoming calls get a busy signal. When I go to the computer hosting Voicemail Pro there is an error on the screen and the computer wants to send a report to microsoft.

Errors listed in Event Viewer:
System:
Source-Service Control Manager. The Voicemail Pro Service service terminated unexpecedly. It has done this 4 time(s). -7:20:08AM
Application:
Source-Application Error. Faulting application vmprov5svc.exe, version 2.1.14.0, faulting module vmprov5svc.exe, version 2.1.14.0, fault address 0x000adedb. -7:19:52AM
Source-Application Error. Fault bucket 159518612. -7:20:01AM
Source-DrWatson. The application, C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\vmprov5svc.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 01/19/2006 @ 07:20:03.666 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 004ADEDB (vmprov5svc!Msscriptcontrol_tlb). -7:20:08AM

I upgraded last weekend hoping that would solve the issue... It didn't. I also set the service to restart whenever it fails. That provides a recovery with almost no interruption but I would rather not have a failure at all. All help is appreciated. Let me know if you need more information.

Thanks.

Did you un-install the v2.1 Manager and Voice Mail Pro apps before upgrading to v3.1? This is a requirement for the upgrade.

Yes, I did. I followed the installation instructions. Uninstalling the programs, reinstalling the new ones, then upgrading the phone system.

Did you set the VMPRO Service to use a local account instead of the admins or other and resart on the first failure?

I set the VMPRO Service to use a local account, now. I already had it set to automatically restart. I will post an update later if that changed anything.

Not having the VMPRO Service run as a local account may have been my problem. If so I would guess it was a network issue. The domain could not be contacted to authenticate the service login in time for the process to continue. I will post later if I contine to have problems.

FIX: Run VMPRO Service to use a local account.

Negative. That didn't fix the problem. I had another failure today. Any input would be appreciated.
