Has anyone purchased or leased the Avaya Call Accounting Software? Any positive/negatives anyone can share? What applications do you use the most?

Thanks in advance! Rhonda

eCAS is made by Vermark. A very good CAS.
We use this on our AVAYA products as well as others.

We use it all the time with very good results.
The customer seems to like it very well.

I use it and LOVE IT!!!. I have gotten back over 100% of the initial cost to deploy the system by finding issues with people abusing the phone.

Example. A phone is off hook for X hours. I get an email to my blackberry.

Other items I like. I get an email if someone dials 911. When I identify a telemarkter, I flag thier phone number(s) in eCAS. Then I recieve an email when they call any extension in my company. I can then call them back to have our numbers removed. I could go on and on. You can't go wrong with eCAS. The only down side was the cost of maintenance from Veramark. A lot of money.

Thanks so much for the input! I'm still waiting for the initial pricing from my vendor which will help make my decision.

What started this need... I have a secretary who is getting some pretty vulgar phone calls. We "think" it is another employee calling from their personal cell phone within the building. I assume this software will help me figure this out.

Thanks again for the info! Rhonda

Maybe... It will depend if the caller is providing his ANI, which he probably is not.

Don't buy the software directly from Veramark. They charge list for everything. No discount. I used my Avaya Business partner and got 27% (I think) off of the list price.

Have you tried to *69 that sucker after she gets the call or is it being left in VM? I have traced calls with CID and Time Stamps. Just a thought.

Thanks. I am going through my business partner as well. I just received a quote of $3,213.00 Does that sound about right? Sometimes he's higher on some things and lower on other things. This is his breakdown.

1 - ECAS BAse 50............ 1620.00
2 - ECAS Model 50 Upgrade.... 225.00 x 2 = 450.00
1 - Reliable Session Protocol Interface...468.00
1 - CAS Incremental Service...225.00
1 - 2 hour phone support....450.00
Total........................$3,213.00

dtmf...
Thanks. Yea, *69 will not work in our switch. I've tried to do the li trace but I have to be in the switch when they call... my company is cheap and I'm on modem dialup into the switch. They make it a live call. I wish they would use voice mail because I could do a lot more with that.

I feel so bad for this secretary. I know I might be blocked from getting any information even with this software which is why I need to learn more about it to justify it to my chain of command. Plus the receiving party doesn't want to "blame" internal staff until we know.

Thanks for the help! Rhonda

What system do you have that *69 doesn't work? She should be able to press the line it came in on after the call and get the #.
