the problem i am having is i have the phone system installed and such but for some reason when i hook up the bell using a SAA i get nothing.Can you guys tell me what i have to do to get an external alert bell working with this system.Merlin Plus 820d is the system i have.

Plug a voice terminal station jack into the jack labled VT on the ssa box. Plug the phone into the CU jack. Make sure the switch is in the on position. Try this with a phone connected and programed to ring.
The SSA is a small white box and this not the sa jack on the memeory module.

Also, Ring voltage is brought out on pins 1&4 BLK/ YL. If I remember right you need a 48vdc ringer.

thanks alot for the help guys it ended up being a voltage thing.The switches inside the bell were set to use 90 instead of 48.
