ok i have a Merlin plus V2.We have just got a opx line installed so our railroad bldg can dial our extensions on our merlin legend system. What im wanting to know is on the merlin plus end it is plugged to a line jack, and they can pick up line 2 and dial our extensions. How can we pick up and call x131 (opx line extension)and dial the extensions on the merlin plus system.when i call x131 it doesn't give me there icom dial tone like they can get on our legend.

the x131 is an analog extension off of our Legend system. It then goes from extension 131 to the line 2 jack on the merlin plus system via opx.that way when they choose line 2 and pick up teh handset they have dial tone from the legend system instead of an outside dial tone.therfore they can just dial any extension at our building, yet we can't there.if we call 131 all it does is ring the x10.and we can't choose to dial an extension like they can with us.

you would need an analog extension off their system to do what you describe. you could manually transfer a call on line 2 or hook an auto attendant and point their line 2 at it and dial by ext.!!

sorry about that your best bet is a general purpose adapter you will have to hook it up ring that extension and see if it throws 90volt ringing voltage and you can answer it with a 2550 or buttsett some of these avaya guys should be able to answer that i'dd say!

I have accomplished this with two melin 1030 opx cards. One card at each end. Station in analog out to other switch and the same way back into the other.
You will need an unused co line port on each switch and two pairs point to point.
