I have had my external MOH die a couple months ago and had done some research on how to get the holdmusic.wav file to work on my Avaya IP406 switch. I have found that there seems to be a limitiation to the size of wave file that is uploaded to the switch by trying a 104meg wave file. It brought my phone system to it's knees and found that it would only upload about 20% of it before timing out. So, after hours I tried it again with a smaller file, about 8meg. It uploaded sucessfully but, it doesn't play...
Any ideas? Help...help...I'm being repressed!

The wav file cannot exceed 1 minute in length.

Well, I found that the wave file must be mono, 8khz and about 30 seconds long. That isn't enough room to put anything decent on! What a disappointment! I was successful in uploading a 3 minute wave file, but it shortened itself to about 30 seconds! Wow! Did I say that I was disappointed!
