I have an Avaya IPOffice 406 V1. I need reasons why I should or should not upgrade from software version 2.1. My boss is wary becuase we have had so many problems from Avaya. Is the upgrade worth it and why? Thanks in advance for everyones input.

If you're happy with system as it stands, don't upgrade. Mike

Here is a issue with all IP products not just the IPOffice. You better upgrade, you never know what all it maybe going to fix both now and in the future.

Upgrading is a dodgey business...sometimes upgrades introduce problems. But usually, upgrades are out there for a reason.

I have asked the same question of the techs and they tell me if it aint broke don't fix it. With that said, I did upgrade one of my switches from 2.1.31 to 2.1.44 That was done because there was a problem. Don't forget to upgrade the VMPro when you do the switch as they will not communicate if you do not! Hope this has shed some light on the subject.
