Has anyone worked with the Lucent Door Phone Controller for the Difinity. I am looking for a manual or install instructions. or just help.

Customer has two lucent door boxes and wants to add two more. Looks like the existing two are loop wired, but I am not sure. Will this controler handle an electric door strike?

anyone with experiences would be helpful.

Thanks...

That's a good question. I had a call the other day from someone with a Definity wanting a door phone and a door release also. They were under contract with Avaya so it was a moot point, I couldn't help them.

I know it could be done with Viking equipment that would simply interface with a trunk port. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with Definity so I don't know what is available from Avaya for that system. It may just be Avaya branded Viking or Bogen equipment like they do with the Partner doorphone.

Anybody know for sure?

i have installed them before they are stamped avaya they only need one pair analog to connect them they have a volume control on the inside of them then you program a hotline to whatever extensions you want the door phone to ring at

Sounds like a Partner doorphone (it doesn't say Partner on it). Program the same way.
