I've searched the web for replacement TA4 'H' fuses that are in Partner/ACS carriers next to the power switch and under the white plastic cover with all the screws.

If anyone knows where I could buy some I would appreciate it. There is no need to send the carrier in for repair just to replace the fuse.

It appears to be a 3/4 inch long ceramic slo-blow fuse but other than that it does not seem to have amp ratings on it.

Thanks, Bunnie

I made a note of this from someone else's post. He says, 4 amp, he uses Buss GMC-4A or GDA-4A.

I went into Radio Shack and they went through everything, couldn't find a listing for TA4.

I assumed it was a relative common fuse but searching the web gave me lots of hits but no listing for that particular fuse.

Thanks to both of you, I'm tired of this carrier sitting under my desk.

Don't know where you got "TA-4" from. I believe I posted the Buss number awhile back. GDA-4A sounds right, don't make me go look. I don't know if RS has them, I get them from Grainger. Newark electronics as well as most electronics supply houses will stock them also.

I read the circuit board again and it is a T4A 'H'.

I have no problem going to Granger, there is one down the street and thanks. I was looking for the specs of the T4A so I could find an alternate which had the same specifics.

This is not some critical app, I just want to get the box out of the way.

Thanks, Bunnie

The fuse type would me engraved on the metal end of the fuse. T4A 'H' , if it is on the circuit board may not necessary tell the fuse type but what it is on the schematic.

Grainger stock number 1CC47. Buss GDA-4A, 4amp ceramic body, 5x20mm IEC standard. Type GDA is fast acting.

By the way, don't necessarily go by what was in there. Somebody could have replaced it with anything.

The T4A 'H' was printed on the circuit board and the fuse is supposed to be a 4 Amp, 250 volt, slo-blow fuse, not fast acting.

There was only one place I could find them and it was 3 or 4 days to get them in stock before shipping. I also put it in eBay for laughs and some music place had two of them for sale, they went in some European amplifiers. The only two on eBay and they shipped this morning.

Thanks for the advice. I was pretty sure they were supposed to be slo-blow and that was confirmed.

Okay if you prefer- Grainger stock number 1CD19. Buss type GDC, time delay.

Never saw anything used but fast acting and these were original. Never had them blow unless there was a problem with one of the mods. Where did you confirm it?
