I am working with a local company who makes IAD devices. We are testing a MICS and a Merlin Legend on one of their new devices. The MICS appears to be working correctly, but the Legend is having some issues, which are probably related to the IAD, but I wanted some feedback.
In PRI mode, with all the settings and 5ESS, I can make outbound calls with no problem. In bound calls will ring the appropriate extension, but the diagnostics on the IAD show no call completion acknowledgement from the Legend. So the call disconnects after 5 seconds.
In standard T-1 or CAS as it is called, all setting correct and trunks set to TIE, the IAD shows it outpulsing the necessary DID digits, but the switch never seems to receive it. If I assign the trunk directly to a station, it will actually ring, but we get to voice path.
We have tried two separate systems, so the problem is not the actual legend equipment, I am pretty sure. I am confident that there are issues with the IAD and its programming load. I am just trying to find anything that could help me point these guys in the right direction.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

It may be a protocol issue. It the IAD set to takl to the legend in AT&T Custom protocol. For T1 mode, i would make sure they are everything is set for wink. you've probably already seen it but here is a link to PRI setup https://www.tek-tips.com/faqs.cfm?fid=3784 and here is a link to PRI troubleshooting https://www.tek-tips.com/faqs.cfm?fid=4279

I have copied and pasted an email from my customer. Maybe this will shed some light on the subject.
""I am having some troubles getting my legend PBX to do wink signaling. My configurations are as follows:
T1, B8ZS, EFS, TEI all, Robbed Bit,
TEI - Inbound/Wink, Outbound/Wink,
Timing is coming from remote source
the problem I am having is I am not seeing the proper sequence when I am making a call into the PBX. I have been trying to get this to work on a T-Berd 224 and something just isn't right. Switch sends off-hook, the PBX winks, I send digits...and nothing else happens. If I am correct, what should happen is switch side sends off-hook, PBX winks, switch sends digits (in this case 100), PBX routes call to ext 100, when ext answers PBX also goes off-hook and there should be an audio patch. Can anyone help me with what I may be doing wrong? I am using 1 T1 on a 100D board. I have read all of the manuals and tried every combination I can try. I tried to get it to work on Automatic and that did do it either. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

What is the clock sync for the DS1 card set to? And is there a CSU? Clock sync would be set to loop (if it is a remote source) and CSU's have been known to cause problems.
