There have been reports of not being able to connect to the modem on 76 when there are expansion cards installed in a carrier. Why, I don't know.
Try an external US Robotics modem, a 355A adapter, and a Cat-5 Patch Cord to the Admin port. Make the modem an extension, or even give it it's own dial tone.

you can use a port to connect to the external modem, then use the 355a adaptor and a db25 to db25 null modem adaptor along with a cat5e patch cord to connect to the system and then have a user transfer you to the extension of the modem. Or if they have a vm which answers you can just use the remote administration software to connect to the extension. If you have any other questions let me know we do this alot I even have the pinout to make a patch cord to db25 without needing the adaptors and stuff.

Since you are familiar with the Partner ACS 7.0 Remote Access card, maybe you can tell me how you change the status of the 76 extension to "Assigned". Each time I follow the manual to the letter concerning the #505, hunt group 6. extension 76 operation I get 2 Extension Unassigned in the display. From the document you would think it would become assigned when I then Press Feature 0 0 but it does not? How do you change the status to assigned. I have a lot of experience with the Definity switches and networking, but had never worked on a Partner before. I would appreciate any help you could give me.

When you are in the #505, press 1, that will change the display to assigned.

Who would ever need to remote into a partner system? All the programing can be done over the phone with a monkey on the other end. The only reason I could ever think to remont program on a partner would be to change restiction codes or...?????

When you have less than a monkey on the other end, and you want to look at how things are programmed!
I don't like reprogramming them remotely, due to needing to restart the system, but sometimes it's nice to know what is in there!
