I have a customer getting a fractional pri. channels 1-11 voice, channels 13-23 data, 24 is
supposedly the d channel. Tried to turn this up yesterday without success. Provider is paetec. Coming out of a 5ess switch they say they have it set for AT&T custom. I have never seen a fractional pri. This is going into a adtran csu/dsu, provided and programmed by paetec, not a channel bank. I have been over my settings numerous times and beleive I have everything corrrect. Any input or something I might have missed. Notice channel 12 is not assigned,
they (paetec) say the d channel is definetly on 24 and not 12.

Not sure what you might have missed without seeing your PRI info print but I have setup several fractional PRI's and have never had a problem as long as the provider had the D channel on 24.

The only difference between a full PRI and a frac is less B channels to setup. Everything else is the same.

the D channel must be on 24. Have them double check the Custom protocol. Don't tell them what you need, make them tell you what it is set for. I can't tell you how many times they have told me it was set to custom, but it was National Custom not ATT Custom.
