Sorry...not too familiar with the Partner stuff...usually dealing with Definity...on a definity the button programming is called a busy-ind...and the put the extension. I know on a partner this is available as the current operator phone (ext 10) has it. What is the feature code for this as I have to add it to another station. She needs to be able to see if someone else is already on a call....thx.

just program the button for that extension. It will light up when the extension is in use and pushing it will dial it.
You can program it as either intercom or extension, both show the busy light

off the top of my head-
get into central tel programming (feature-00, left intercom twice, then right intercom) and punch in the exten. Push the button you want to program. The display will show you what's currently assigned.
then push leftintercom-XX to program an exten
or leftintercom-*-XX to program it as intercom
then repeat with another button or hit feat-00 to exit.

not sure if thats what you need but hope it helps

edit- the above must be done from ext 10 or 11. when i say punch in the exten I mean punch in the extension whos button you want to change.

1) Press (Feature)(0)(0) at the extension you want to put the DSS button on.

2) Press whatever button you want to use.

3) Press the left intercom button followed by the extension number of the extension you want to know is in use.

4) Then simply lift the handset to exit extension programming.
