Hello Techs,
I have Partner Messing Rel 6.0. I am trying to set up switching the Day and Night Greetings without the use of a Night Button. I did listen to the Schedule Options. I did not understand the difference between Switch Mode and the Weekly Schdule. How do I correctly set this up?

Thanks for your help

You want to set it to follow the weekly business schdule. Then set what times you want which AA to play for everyday of the week.

Or you can have it follow both weekly schdule and switch mode. Then the night service button would contol how many rings before calls go to the AA.
But which AA would still be controled by the time of day.

In switch mode the messaging follows the night service button on X10. This is the default mode. With night service off the AA's play the day menus, on they play the night menus.

When you change it to Weekly Schedule the day and night menus are now controlled by the schedule controller and how you have it programmed. Note that this is only the switching between the menus, the rings are still controlled by the night service button and the VMS Hunt Delay (#506) settings.

Never use the setting for "follow BOTH the switch mode and weekly business schedule".(inside the Partner Messaging) Even Avaya admits that it doesn't work properly, you'll take it out of Night Service with the NS button, and 1/2 hour later, the night service greeting will play again.

Decide what you want to happen:

1. Use the NS button to control the number of rings AND which message plays (follow switch mode)

2. Use the NS button to control the number of rings, but let the schedule determine which message plays when it answers (follow weekly business schedule)

3. Don't have a NS button at all, and still let the schedule determine which message plays (again, follow weekly business schedule)
