I stand corrected. I was working on a old VS R.4 today and it does do outcalling. That must be the release it came out.

I know, it's hard to remember when features were introduced.

I know that VS R.3 doesn't. That's what I still have at home. So R.4 must have been the first.

I'm going to sell myself a up-grade one of these days. laugh

Thanks for all of the input. I have tried most/all of what you have suggested with no success... after 6 hours on line with Avaya tech support (ouch!) I finally got a Tier 4 guy to say that the R7 would not play with any VS system before R5 and was 'not supported'... why couldn't the Tier 1 guy tell me that. His suggestion was either to go back down to the R6 or replace/upgrade the VS.

Again, I apprciate the brainstorming... as usual, you are all an ocean of information.

I'm curious people, the R7's you are getting should have a green sticker on it meaning they have been gone through by Avaya and pacthed, fixed, I haven't been having any problems as of late.

I have a VS4 on a R7 in my office and it works great, no problems.

I do still try and sell them a R6 if I can.
