You don't need any firmware/coding to program the system, all programming is done through a phone or a computer with the appropriate software. If you don't know that, you don't want to be the one administering the system by far!

Avaya's sourcecode is not an open-source or GPL architecture...It is proprietary as Mark said.

Even if you knew the source-code or the firmware, You'd probably be lost in an open sea. Most phone systems use firmware codecs, it's not like swapping a linksys router's firmware out with linux firmware.

Again, Programming for extensions and lines is through a PHONE or through a special program which is on a computer, which connects to the KSU. IF you don't know what you're doing, hire someone. They will be more than happy to make you happy with the system to get it running the way YOU want.

Any suspicious activities with firmwares may be reported to the manufacturer. In this case, AVAYA. Sundance Communications or affiliates will not be responsible smile

If you need help changing the time, date, etc. Someone here may be more than happy to help you!

Please make sure your profile is completed.

For nearly every Avaya telephone system there is a PC administration software package that allows you to fill in a form with the translations you need. Most problems arise when the system documentation is either poor or wrong, the person administering the system doesn't read the manuals (which are on line, or there is a software problem in the system. You also have to write up a system plan before you start administering a system. That helps make sure the system works efficently to do the job you expect it to do. A lot of multi-step entries have to be entered in a particular sequence as well.
