After a week of no problems on a new installation (slot 1= 012E module ,slot 2 = Partner Messaging with 4-port card ,slot 3 = Partner ACS 7.0 91E) this afternoon the voicemail went out. Trying to intercom 777 results in a busy signal. I have powered down the system and reseated everything which did not help. When I hyperterminal into the messaging system I get an infinite message of: IDE_Controller::reset(): isBusy

Just for kicks.............what VM ports do you have assigned and/or dialing.
And are the green lights lit on the cards.

after powering down and reseating a third time, it works now (3rd times a charm?). VM ports are assigned to 31-34, all had green lights even when it wasn't working. Even though its working now, im still nervouse as to what caused this.

I would imagine it was the seating of the cards. For some reason when they changed to the new style carriers a few years ago sometimes you must get rough with them when putting the cards in.

Sounds like a hard drive problem developing to me. Don't think reseating the modules had anything to do with that message. Seen plenty of these with green lights that didn't work.
Next time it happens call your Avaya Business Partner and have him deal with it. You did buy the system from an Avaya Business partner didn't you?

The problem keeps happening so I guess it is a hard drive problem, company I bought it from is sending a replacement. Thank you all for your help.
