Matt, I'm coming from a similar background to yours - CCNA, CNE (that's Novell for you young bucks), Sun, Microsoft, A+/Net+ - and been in the data field for 8 years. Hey guys if you wait a week or two the phone world will come to you no joke I am not trying to be funny. The telecom world is looking to train guys just like you to do our job and phase us out. Just call avaya or samsung and tell them your an it guy and they will wet themselfs and ask if you want to be trained. Proof .... all systems are becomming convergence or converged or ip or what ever you want to call it

CTP is great training and required by most of the major manufacurers before getting certified on their product. I would hire you today if you were CTP certified even if you were not trained on telcom. I could get the telcom part to you from Toshiba. We as old phone gurus have to go throught the process but aren't happy about it.
