Trying to figure out how to setup system admin via CLAN (TN799B) using DSA. Anyone have any good idea's on how to accomplish this. Also need "alias" for Avaya 2410D in this sytem. Thanks!!

You can probably alias a 2410 as and 8410D, but the display is not going to work. Time to upgrade to Communication Manager.
To install a Clan:
Keep in mind I haven't worked on a R8 in years. It is very old software and commands have changed but this should be close.
Install the board and the anphanol to RJ45 adapter on the backplain. Add the IP address in the node name table. add the ip interface 01AXX (or what ever the slot is) DON'T ENABLE it yet. Set the speed to 10/half. disp comm link and write down an unused link (to be used on next step. add a data module, type =ethernet, port is 01AXX17. Patch to your LAN switch. Force the port on the LAN side to 10/half. cha the ip interface and enable it. change ip-serv and enter your clan name, port=5023 or what ever you want to use, remote node=any, remote port =0
Then you should be able to log in via ASA.
