I am using winspm 8.0 to remote login to a merlin. I have it set to manual(asst xfer). I use a anolog phone that is on a line split with a modem connected to my pc. Once i call my person on site, they hit xfer, *10, xfer. I hear the switch modem, then hit connect threw winspm but my modem doesn't does't give me any feed back that its trying to shake hands. I use the modem for other connections so I know it works. Can anyone help?
Thanks.

When you hear the SWITCH MODEM, wait a couple of seconds and then hang up the Analog.
You may have to play with the timing of that hang up, or, you may have to move to an external modem that has a TEL Jack on it and gives better feedback.
Modem connections to this switch with WINSPM are tricky at best.

Does the External Modem have a Phone Jack, as well as a Line Jack?
Your description sounds like you are "BRIDGING" onto the Line with the telephone.
I suggested an External Modem to allow the Modem to take over the call at the right time.

when you make the call to the merlin thru SPM and is operator answered....they hit transfer *10 and hangup...if your modem protocols setting are correct..you with be connected...WinSPM R9 works the best for me w/ XP. what OS are you using???
