I am looking for ANY opinions or help making an initial setup. Any small system configs would help(incoming routing info) I have done (now I assume minor!) administration on a definity with audix and aspect phone system several years ago.
First off the company has relocated to a bigger building and i quess its obvious why a phone system was needed. For now all I need is to get simple setup working and changes will slowly be made as soon as some organization happens from the boses(whoever will be handling whatever calls)
What i have to work with is an avaya r7 acs with a small voice card, administration cd (soon to have cable) and 4 phones (3 avaya + 1 engenius cordless) and 3 co lines
all outgoing is working fine for now and line 1 and 3 are fine, the problem is with routing incoming calls. The head boss wants all calls to ring on every ext. and after 5 rings go to vm. All I really came up with so far is
#206 line 02 hunt group7
#507 always
#506 5 rings
I believe i need a couple steps before to get all phones to ring before vm

Any simple help would be appreciated. Even your own setups will help. I just need some ideas and i'm sure my brain will start flowin. I have background in computers/phones/industrial electronic so i am not illiterate and should understand peoples responses.
thank you

By default, all the phones will ring on all the lines. If they don't, read the manual under "Centralized Telephone Programming" to see how you change ringing on a phone and line. You don't need the cable or software to program the system, use the program codes from Ext. 10 or 11.

You've got the correct program codes above to make the line go to the auto attendant after 5 rings.

Good luck, you may find it better to get a local installer to set it up for you, and show you what he is doing along the way.
