I am moving a partner system at a mall, They want to leave 5 phones at the customer service room. I am moving equipment and 18 telephones to new location. The length back to the 5 phones is about 1300' will this work and if not what are my choices ? Any help will be appreciated.

I would use 22ga wiring otherwise should work.

In spec. sheet ACS, 1000 feet is distance mentioned for phone ext., 3000 feet for standard devices. Have had problems with display phones over 900 feet.--------------------John

Unfortunately the specs make no mention of wire size, only 1000 feet of something. Since 24ga is the usual size of UTP, one could assume then that that's what they are talking about and the limit is 1000 feet of 24ga.
Using 22ga should allow you to go that extra 300 feet. You would certainly run at least 25 pair and doubling up the power/data pair for each phone (pins 2&5)would provide added insurance.

I also saw on the Partner ACS Newsletter that you can use Multitech VOIPs for off premise extensions or to connect non IP systems.

Multitech, from what I can see does not allow the use of system phones, only single line T/R OPXs.
The economical solution in this case is to install the proper wiring.

We use Multitech boxes all the time to connect Partner ACS's. Works good.

You might test with 1000ft. box of wire 4 pr., put jack on either end and double up wire as stated by Hal. Use line cord from system to 1 jack and phone at other,if this works add another box with 300ft of wire and 1 jack,terminate doubled up pairs directly to jack from 1st. box of wire connect to system and phone .Quick test.--------------John
