I have a Merlin Magix V 6.0 with Merlin Messaging. The auto-attendant (day) is supposed to go to the day greeting after 6 rings. The calls are going to the general delivery mailbox instead. The calls at night goes to the night greetings (Nite Serv. Button) with no problems.
The calls are getting to the switch via PRI.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Calls come in via PRI - are they sending DNIS digits to direct the incoming call to the Operator? Is the Operator a DLC? Does the Operator need a personal mailbox?

If you are getting DNIS that matches the Operator, cover the OP to voice mail, but point the mailbox to the Auto Attendant. Use the Business Schedule to switch from Day to Night message, and a DND button to provide immediate answering after hours.

No DNIS digits to direct incoming calls, Operator is a DLC. There is no personal mailbox associated with the Operator, just a general delivery mailbox with the Op the owner.

Thanks.

The only way you get to the GENERAL MAIL BOX, is to TIME OUT from the AUTO ATTENDANT.

That is, you should FIRST hear the AA greeting, and then, if you DIAL ZERO, or DO NOT DIAL ANYTHING, you will wind up in the GENERAL MAILBOX.

So, what you are describing, sounds like the AA Main Greeting is nothing.

Have you played/recorded the AA Main Greeting for DAYS?
