I have an Avaya IP 406. Using IP office manager 5.0. I'm trying to segregate incoming calls; if it comes thru the 800 number, i want to route to one hunt group; all other calls a different hunt group. This is a pots line. I've added 2 incoming call routes, but i can't seem to get it to work correctly. Am i down the right path? I've tried many different entries but i can't seem to segregate. Please advise. Thanks.

How do you know which number was dialed? With a PRI you could see the dialed number but with a POTS is this possible?

Your 800 number is just a dummy number that hits what ever you want it to at the C.O. Once it makes it to your location you can't control which line it comes in on if you have it pointing to a line that is a roll or hunt group from the C.O..
The IPO does inbound call routeing off of CID, but if I am reading your question correct.......thats not what your trying to do.

It totally depends on how calls are delivered to your system. If landing on a POTS line, you're likely out of luck - unless you add a new group of POTS lines to service the 800 number. If you have PRI/DID combo and you get unique digits for 800, it is a fairly simple incoming call route entry to send those calls wherever you'd like. Let us know how calls are delivered. Mike
