Here's the scenario the customer wants partner 5x9
Someone calls in on line one, they want to be transfered to cell phone. Can they do that using 2 lines? For example line 1 rings recep answers and hits transfer button, presses line 2 and dials number, hangs up calls connected Or do they need call transferring from phone company?

The Partner won't do a supervised trunk to trunk transfer.
It will do remote call fowarding off of an extension that is using that feature.
The IP Office will do trunk to trunk.

As Michael said above.
To answer your question about call transfering thru the telco.
if you get call transfering from the phone company then you program a recall key and transfer the call that way. This will keep your lines open after the call is transfered.

sorry michael after reading this over AGAIN (as I usually need to) I realize you may have answered my Q. In addition the customer I'm dealing with has vm, so I think the call fwrd button would be better so the individual can decide if they want the cellphone ringing... not the receptionist.

so if station 11 'cellphone connect/fwrd' to a speed dial# and a call is transf to 11, that will transfer to the cell #? Provided its not a vm transf, or I suppose there can be no ringing at station 11?? Do I make sense>?

Not really.
Are you talking about cell connect or RCF? There is a big difference.

If it was an every once in awhile thing and you don't have MOH you could hit conf - call cell phone - hit conf again - then press hold, this would take you out and leave caller and cell phone connected.
