I am using a Partner ACS Ver 6 and a Partner Messaging Board (Ver 7) with a 2 port license. Ext #17 began dialing out on CO lines, SMDR indicated random numbers that did not resemble actual telphone numbers. Caused CO lines to hang and redailed on next CO line until all were hung. Removed Ext #17 physically from the system, disabled outcalling feature and reloaded configurations.
10 days later Ext #17 begins dialing other extension via the intercom and leaving numerous voicemails (tones only)
Can't find any references to this elswhere, has anyone out there had this experience before?

I know this is basic, but had someone hooked a phone up to 17 after you had removed it from the system? Also, have you tried deleting the vm box? I would also try line access restriction for that ext.

Good luck!

Have you tried another phone at x 17? Do you still have this problem if there is nothing connected to x17?

This sounds like someone is trying to hack, using outbound call. The tone sounds on other ext. may be hacker trying to guess passwords on other mailboxes.Sounds like you may have fixed problem, but their still trying?

No, its a bad port and the only way is to replace the ACS.
