I just installed a Partner ACS 6.0 processor with a PMVS and somewhere along the way during initial config of the system the Intercom buttons sound like regular outside line dial tones and go right to outside. I didn't think this was a prob at first, but when I tried to begin programming the PMVS, Intercom 777 doesn't get me in.
Any clues?
TIA for any and all help.

1-Is program 505 programmed for correct ports.

2- If you press an intercom button can you dial another station.?

3- If you plug a station directly into the control unit does it work correctly.?

4- Does the phone go to a co line by just pressing the speaker or when you press an intercom key and pick up the handset ?

Hi KENB,

1. If 505 is Hunt Groups, I followed directions and added what would be my VM extensions (10 thru 35) to Hunt Group 7.
2. Yes, it dials another station. but it won't allow me access to the PMVS. I tried changing back and forth from machine to regular, but no difference. Sounds like dial tone, and no VMS access.
3. No. Same as at desks.
4. When I pick up phone or press speaker it automatically lights up first IC button instead of Line 1. Both IC buttons do same thing when manually pressed.
5. Think I may just wind up shutting it down and pulling batteries and coming back tomorrow night. I have 2 jobs in CT that I need to get to late morning/early afternoon and it's getting late early.
Thanks for welcome and quick response.

Two issues
1- 505 is not 10-35
2- In your book read Automatic line selection
3- check the system programming in voicemail
manual and do the steps

With PMVS only Exts 78 & 79 has to be in Group 7. All Exts from 10 to 35 has to be taken out and reasign in comand 310 for coverage, but depends what size of PMVS you can have only 4 mailboxes or max 16.Then you have to do comands 506(Mod:1&2), 507 and 206.
Make sure Icm set up for Regular not Mashine sound.

As soon as you take 10-35 OUT of Hunt Group 7, your problems will be resolved. Intercom dial-tone sounding like outside dial-tone is just one of things that happens automagically when a station is assigned to the group. Some external voice mails "listen" for dial-tone before they will dial codes for MW lights, and they like the outside dial-tone better.

Oh, and Partner Mail VS is not extensions 78 and 79, so if that is really what you've got, you're going to need to determine your port extensions as well.

Touch Tone Tommy is right if you have VM card in separate slot then you have to tell us what slot its in and what kind of cards before that slot.

Looks like encouraging info, thanks. Going back to that office 2nite, but can tell you this much now:
5 slot carrier.
Slot 1. Partner 206E R4.1 expansion 2 lines & 6 extensions.
Slot 2. Same as slot 1.
Slot 3. Partner ACS 6.0.4 processor 3 lines & 8 extensions, 2 empty pc card slots (brand new).
Slot 4. Partner 206 R4.1 expansion 2 lines and 6 extensions.
Slot 5. PMVS 5.0 no lines or extensions, one pc card slot with a PMVS card in it. Also says backup and restore on back of card.
All except processor are from old system that an old processor died in.
Above is from memory, but pretty sure of accuracy. Slot 4 not a misprint, it is a 206, not a 206E like slots 1 & 2.
Thanks again for great input.

You are going to have to tell us what it says on that expansion card that is sticking out of the PMVS. Is it 2 port or 4 port? Should say right on it.
