I'm having brain cramps this morning. I have a customer that we are installing a Magix 4.0 v7. My question is for the customer's incomming main number is a DID #5500 that will ring at the front desk ext 5501 which will overflow to an Auto Attendent. I know I will have to build a pattern for 5500 to go to 5501, but how will i send it to the AA, say after 3 or 4 rings. Second question is, if the customer does not want ext 5501 to answer the main number and have it go to the AA, don't I just have to change the pattern to add digits 770 (VM hunt group)? Thanks.

Cover 5500 to voice mail, but assign 5500's mailbox as the auto attendant. This means 5500 loses their personal mailbox.
For Immediate answer by the AA, you could massage 5501 to 770, or make an adjunct of 5501, cover to VM, and again assign the mbx as the aa.

You can try to reassign Overflow Hunt group number to 5500 for delay ring during day operation mode and create 5500 extension as AA 1 or 2 or any number you need. I never tried but it might work. This idea was giving by TTT. I am not sure why he didn't mention it right now.
