A web site I ran into selling The new series 2 Partner sets claimed they are full duplex spkr phones. Is this true? I know the older sets aren't.

They are NOT full duplex. None of the partner set are. You shouldn't find a REAL avaya partner or reseller making those bogus claims

Sometimes people refer to them as near full duplex quality

What do you expect from the web? They probably aren't even new since they have been out for a couple of years now and the repair/refurbishers are getting their hands on them.

Sure, it's easy to have a respectable looking site. That's the problem with buying telecom equipment off the internet, you never know who you are dealing with.

I don't see it as false advertising as much as ignorance of the product .

A few years ago there was a eBay seller blowing out a ton of MLS phones and she listed them as "full duplex speaker phone "

I sent here a email about it but she never responded .

buyer beware , If the customer comes to me , I verify what I claim the equipment will do (because I'm the one that will hear about it if it doesn't )
If they buy from a spiffy looking website that google takes them to ...oh well
