Have a client with a 5x9 standalone, and he wants more extensions. I added a 5 card carrier and am having problems getting either a 206e v3.1 or 308ec v3.0 to act correctly.
I Plugged in cards on far left and all appears to work. However with the 206 no one can hear you , and the 308 cannot break dial tone.
Final issue, I cannot get paging through the phones to work. Programmed a button for icm *70, but get a do-wa-do -wa sound. I am trying to get this to work with just the single 509 card thanks! Chris

This is going to sound stupid, but, did you reinitialize? Sure, it cleans out speed dial numbers, button programming, etc., etc. But, it also resets all the cards and the processor gets to be 'introduced' to the 'new guys'. John C.

As KENB & Lightninghorse said; Slot 1 First slot to the left should be your 308 card, slot 2 shold be your 206 card, and slot three shold be your 509 card. Reinitialize the system, make sure all cards have a green light and you should be good to start reprogramming.

Obviously the 206E is far from new. That suggests that the 308EC and everything else you bought has been around the block also. Sounds like you got your money's worth from that internet outfit. :thumb:
Your problem is those mods are defective. No reason they shouldn't work though I'm not quite sure how that would cause you not to be able to break the CO dial tone. That is what you are talking about?
You certainly don't have to default the system and reprogram when you add mods.
As for the paging, I always encourage people who are supposed to work on these things to read the documentation. You are in luck though, scroll down a few threads in this forum.

to be clearer, I have only need one card to work in addition to the 509; I tried both in the far left position, one at a time. 206 would not allow people to hear you speaking, and the 308 would not let you break dial tone. I did not reinitialize as they have no backup card and wanted to keep it simple. But is sounds like from you guys that either should work and be compatible.
