I need help on the following features 1. Ring: When an outside call is received, ext 10 and 16 will ring immediately, even though it is covered by the auto attendant. How to set it up so that ext 10 and 16 doesn't ring except when a caller dial zero or 16.
2. Caller Name display How to set up caller name display on an extension. Right now it only display caller phone number. Caller name can be displayed on ext 10.
3. Is it possible to set up so that when caller dials zero, phone would transfer call to ext 11 instead of ext 10.
4. Is it possible to transfer call to the receptionist (ext 10) after a caller dials an extension and hears the greeting, instead of leaving a message, wish to transfer back to the receptionist.

Ahmm. Read the documentation!
1) #506, 1. Then remove ringing from those extensions.
2) Program a button on the extension for feature 16.
3) Not sure with MailVS R1. See what the dial zero/timeout choices are.
4) Just tell them to dial *8 to transfer to another extension.

Partner II
Your choices are more limited than an ACS.
#1, your choices are Immediate which is 2 rings, or Delayed which is 4 rings. Then turn off the ring for those particular extensions through Centralized Telephone Programming.
#2, Partner II doesn't have Caller ID Name
#3, VS Mail R1, you can't change the Call Answer Service Operator, so you really need to physically swap Ext. 10 and 11, so the o/timeout calls go to the place where you want them to be answered.
#4, 0 from a mailbox will transfer you to the Call Answer Service Operator, which is Ext. 10, which under #3 you moved to where it should actually live.

Partner II doesn't have Caller ID Name
Don't remember earlier but R3.1 does support Feature 16, CID name display.
Of course we don't know what release the PII is that we are talking about.

Further help required. Used #110 to set up auto system answer delay to 0, ie immediately answer phone. However the auto attendant service still does not take over until after 4 rings. (Hv a partner II vs). What should I do to have the auto attendant service answers calls immediately without ringing.

Hal, thanks for the reminder on CID-Name
Nusource, don't confuse Auto System Answer with the Automated Attendant. #110 is not what you want to program here, go to #506 and set it to either 1-Immediate (which is actually 2 rings) or 2-Delayed (which is 4 rings). If you pick 1-Immediate, set the phones to No Ring, except the Operator phone set to Delayed Ring. That way, you don't have to listen to the 2 rings before the Auto Attendant answers, but the Operator will get the call on the 4th ring if the Voice Mail is busy.
(p.s., the reason for answering on the 2nd ring is to capture the CID information, otherwise you'd never see it)

Thanks for your detailed explanation. I set #506 to 1, Ext 10 to Delayed Ring and other ext to No Ring. Everything works for the ringing arrangement. However, no CID is displayed on ext 10 when the auto attendant answer the call and when a call is transferred to ext 10, only "VMS" is displayed, not the CID, whereas when phones are set to ring , CID will display right away. PS the auto attendant does answer on the 2nd ring. Also there is no CID on other extensions, only "VMS" is displayed. Any idea how to solve this problem?

Seeing the CID on transfer isn't supported on the Partner II at all, you need to upgrade to an ACS for that, and I believe it needs to be an R6 or R7 at that.
