I am new to DCUI type installations. I would like to install ASA on a laptop and manager our DCIU Audix PC.
There is a COM port on the back of the AYC54 card. Can this be configured to connect a NULL/Serial cable to a COM port on a PC?

NO you can't use the 9 pin connector on the AYC54 card. You can use ASA with a clan connection or an Analog line into the AYC54 card. The type of integration doesn't matter.

I have an option in ASA to use a COM port. Is this using the standard COM port on the Audix PC?

I got it to work, I added a Terminal Port to Audix, and used a NULL Modem cable @9600 and VT4410 emulation and it worked great. Poor mans CLAN ;-)

If I'm understanding you correctly, Your using the com port in the back of the Intuity and not the 9 pin connector on the AYC54 card. Thats great. Most people just use the analog port on the AYC54 for the dialup.

What software are you using for the 4410 emulation? I use an old copy of ProComm Plus, but I'd like to know what's working for you!
