Hello,
If I connect a modem to the Modem Jack on an Avaya phone can it be used to dial out a voice call?
For example, user picks up, selects co line and then the modem picks up, dials number and then hangs up. User should then be connected with number modem dialed?
Want to use this with a feature in some software to do automated dialing from information contained in a dental office software.
My only other options is to loop a CO line to the modem as well as being into the Partner system. Was hoping to avoid that and also allow the person to select which line would be used...

Yes. You can also just use a bridging adapter at the wall jack.

This solution worked great. Did the bridging adapter at the wall jack connected to the modem. They can now dial right from the software on any line. What else is cool is that even dialing from the modem the dialed numbers come up on the display. It must do DMTF detection to get the numbers!
