Need a reccomendation on purchasing a phone system(Key? PBX?) for a small business.

Will need 5 phones (1 of which being front desk/main phone) and then 4 standard sets. All we need to be able to do is answer on at least 2-3 lines and have voicemail.

Thanks

Avaya, Nec, Panasonic, Comdial, Samsung, and many more they all have small systems that will do what you want. You need to google them and see which one appeals to you or call some dealers in your area and have them come out and meet with you.

The Partner system will do the trick;

The Toshiba CTX 28 is good if you aren't going to exceed 6 lines or 16 phones. The CTX 28 will support a 4-port VM unit. Some benefits:

1. Built in SMDI integration
2. Built in Caller-ID (you would still need to activate it through Telco)
3. Call monitoring of VM messages with ability to pull the caller out of VM.
4. Very reasonably priced. (I just sold a system with 4 phones and VM for ~$xxxx installed)

If you tell me where you are located I can tell you who is a dealer so you can get more info.

We have a member of this board in that area, search for Phone_girl_NE and find her information in her profile. Hope this helps
Vodavi is another nice small system, main thing find an installer you trust, that is worth as much as the system.

test ok is right the partner system is the way to go...and for around xxxx dollars you cant go wrong, just bill is right you can buy the system anywhere but the installer makes it worth your investment...

Matthew..

I beleive my cost was about $xxxx, but the cost will depend on the discount the dealer receives.

If you can provide a zip code and yoru county, I can locate a dealer for you.

used to be a big partner fan , now Id say NEC ds2000 has lot more bang for the buck.

either will do but the partner is less flexiable.

like others are saying the key is getting a good installer and going with what hey are comfortable with

Please don't post prices on the open board, use the PM feature. If we allowed prices to be posted it can cause a real mess and pretty soon you would have nothing but a bidding war.
Thanks
