Hi gang, Can't figure this out. I have a location with an IP406. When you call in on the backline at night, the phones go dead, EXCEPT for one extension. The other phones just go dead and then come back up? Doesn't happen all the time, but pretty often. I tested it last night and when you call the backline number, the phones ring, then everything goes dead except that extension. I ran system monitor and it does show that one extension as picking the call up. Anyone ever have a similar issue? I am going to try pulling that phone physically off the line and out of the HG to see if that helps but any and all input is appreciated.
Thanks, Mike
Thanks, Mike

What release is this? What has cahnged recently? When you say the phones go dead, does the system reboot? What phones go dead? Just the ones that didn't answer?

an electrical short across the pairs could cause this. System sees the loop and thinks the tel set picked it up, in reality, it was the arc across the pairs create the loop.
it's all tip and ring
