I have an R7 that I can not get the indvidual Lines to stop ringing at some designated extensions.

During the day the Auto attendant is off and calls are handled by the operator but the lines are ringing at all phones. I've changed the Line Ringing to "No Ring" (green fast flutter) but they continue to do so. This is system is using a Vodavi Starplus voicemail.

Any chancethe voicemail is causing this?

When you say R.7 I assume you're talking about a Partner?
And have you tried it without the VM hooked to the system?

System contains
(1) 5x7 Release 7 and (3) 308's.
Recently installed to replace a failed Vodavi System bu the voice mail was fine.

Integrated eth voicemail and switchover when good but this is the one sticking point. I've Programmed teh Line ringing feature many tmes before and never a problem. I even tried the delay ring but the lines still ring at all extensions.

Just unplugged the 4 ports to the Voice mail and called in - still rings at all extensions.

Can a Vodavi VM even be used with a Partner???

I have no idea what the heck you are doing but do you have those extensions in hunt group 7?

Yes the Vodavi voicemail can be used.
I am using extension 31 - 34 and they are in Hunt Group 7. The voice mail and Auto attendant works fine and I do not think the Line Ringing has anything to do with the Voice Mail.

It's not the voice mail, at least not from an incompatibility standpoint.

Ok, do you have the extensions in a night service group and the system is on night service?

I can't think of anything else that would override ringing assignments. Default it and start over.

Do you have the lines assigned to any CallDistGroups in #206 other than group 7? Do you have any extensions in any hunt groups, other than the voice mail ports in group 7? Are any extensions forwarded? In the Night Service Group? Do you have remote access through a modem or direct connect to the Admin port to pull a translation file?

Night Service - No, it's not on Night Service. The Vodavi voice Mail uses a Time Control Feature.
At 4:30 it goes right to the Night time AA.

No other Call DistGroups other than 7. No hunt groups other than VM ports in 7. No extensions being forwarded.

What get me is when I program the line ringing at extension 10 for each extension, the line status light changes like it should. Steady, slow and fast.

I'm using the ADMIN port. I think I'll pull the current translation file, and reboot. Is there a feature to get back to default before I resend the translation file?
