Use ASA and the modem on the Intuity.

Just make a call from your laptop to the intuity modem. A clan is a board in the PBX, not the intuity.

We have remote locations all over the world and we use ASA to log into the Avaya PBX's using IP address.I haven't hooked up any Intuity's through ASA. I don't want to dial into it and I read that I needed a Lan board for the Intuity.Help. Thanks

In mostof the systems the Intuity will also have a clan card. 8216 or 8416 lan cards and you can access them with ASA as well, Thay also have modems on them. Any questions you can call me Chris 303-593-1763

That old of an Intuity is only going to have a X.25 link between the switch and the Intuity not a CLAN link. I think that was introduced in the Map5's. So the only way to remotely administer it is to use a dial up connection in ASA and dial into the modem of the Intuity.

The Integration on this Intuity Audix mite be X.25, However the system could still have a lan card and could still be accessed with ASA through a lan connection.

MIke,

if it says Intuity on it, then Chris Howard knows it. They only let him work at Avaya for 30 years....Sorry Chris, I know that dates you a bit, but....LOL.....

If you have trouble connecting, I would suggest giving him a call.
